Now the funny thing about this list is half this stuff isn't getting done, but I can dream can't I? Why do you ask is most of this not getting completed? Well you need to have a bank account much larger than mine to complete most of these tasks. But I will continue to watch and learn, and read about how to do these things yourself.

I broke down and cried the first weekend that I moved into my house. I was trying to put in a toilet paper holder and punched a whole in my bathroom wall. I patched the hole up, but I've never dared to put a hole in my drywall since.

If anyone has any advice on the above, please let me know!

Friends for most of these. Bargains and sales for grass and mulch - you don't have that much lawn.

Power wash - borrow a sprayer, but it will take the paint off if you are too close.

Painting - just suck it up and do it.

Most of it isn't money, just hard, pain in the ass amounts of work. Welcome to the thrilling world of homeownership.

I love my apartment!

The painting isn't the hard part. And I have the paint already. In fact I was planning on doing my painting this weekend, since it is a long weekend and all.
